On the palate you’ll find an intense richness with excellent structure and finish that comes from the mountain fruit. The mid palate carries elements of the “Rutherford Dust” that has become such a signature of fine Napa Valley wines. Intense dark garnet color along with rich flavors of cassis, blackberry, dried violets and dark chocolate lend to an elegant wine of finesse on the finish.
The smooth tannins allows this wine to be approachable and enjoyed on its own however it carries the fine wood tannins to hold up to a nice steak. This wine is a wonderful complement to roasted and grilled beef, lamb and sausage, ripe cheese and dark chocolate.
